No Foolin’?!

THIS IS NOT A JOKE

Script is submitted and contract signed – I’m doing a graphic novel anthology with author of Project Hail Mary, Andy Weir!

Join a clone and his lovable dog companion this fall in Daddio and the Escape from Clone Murder Island. Along with Andy Weir, the anthology will have a handful of authors whose books you may have seen at Studio Moonfall, like David Viergutz and Lydia Sherrer (no relation). It’s being published by Author Nation, the big conference I do in Las Vegas every year, and produced by Legendary, the company behind the new Godzilla, Dune, and upcoming Gundam movies.

I’ll have more info sooner than later so keep an eye out for the Kickstarter once it’s announced.

Indie Bookstore Day

Indie Bookstore Day is coming up on April 25th, the day before the first Kenosha Book Festival of the season. To get things started, we’re expanding store hours to Wednesday through Sunday from 11am to 7pm.

Starting today, you can pick up your Indie Bookstore Passport. We’ve got 17 shops in the region on board so start exploring!

And for the Kenosha Book Festival, we’ll start announcing all the authors this week (?) so keep an eye on the Studio Moonfall Facebook page.

The State of the Patreon

With having to jump into writing the script for the Andy Weir anthology, I ran into a major log jam on production for the three coloring books I’m currently working on. But don’t worry. We’ve got good news!

All of the coloring pages for the 2026 Color of Kenosha are off to the businesses for approval. As long as there aren’t any major changes, we’re still in the window to get the books in time for the first Kenosha Book Festival on April 26th. Fingers crossed.

And for members of the Patreon, April stickers are in! I’ll do a quick mail out of everything currently on hand. For the coloring books from February until now – The Color of Kenosha, Quest for the Golden Egg Roll, and Night of the Living ZomBeans: Vol. 5 – we should have all of those in around early May so I’ll send them out all at once.

… oh dang. What will the May book be?

Alien Road Trip

Hey there, sport.

Studio Moonfall will be closed Wednesday and Thursday this week so that I can take the interns down to Texas to wrangle up some rattlesnakes and battle a minotaur.

I’ll try to take some good pics.

Normal hours resume on Friday and we’ll be extending hours in April in prepation for Indie Bookstore Day and the start of the Kenosha Book Festival.
