Waldo is coming to Kenosha!

Throughout July, find our favorite striped sleuth in local businesses throughout Kenosha!
Waldo will be hiding in various locations around the city, and it’s your mission to stop into as many businesses as you can from July 1st to 31st to find him.

Independence Day at Studio Moonfall

This Saturday, Harbor Market will be closed for the 4th of July so come on down to Studio Moonfall!

Daddio and the Escape from Clone Murder Island

Correct me if I’m wrong but I’m pretty sure I’ve mentioned that I’m making a book with Andy Weir, right?

Well, the Kickstarter is all wrapped up and we raised over $55,000!!!

I’m not sure what the situation will be for getting any copies in the shop so stay tuned. There should be some ways to get them if you missed the Kickstarter but without some of the fancy bonuses. We’ll see!

Our Father’s Day Kenosha Book Festival – THIS SUNDAY!

What goes together better than books and axe throwing??

Join us this Sunday for the Kenosha Book Festival/Father’s Day Street Party from 10am to 3pm at Studio Moonfall. We’ve got games, local authors, and more – including a sneak peek at Daddio – my story in the graphic novel anthology I’m making with ANDY WEIR!!!

We have special events throughout the day like Princess Story Time with the Little Mermaid from 10am to noon, Grandpa’s Story Time with my Dad(!) from noon to 2pm, and the Game Library at White Lilac all day featuring Marblehead’s and Wisconsin game designer James “The Geek” Pearson. And making this shindig even cooler, it’s Make Music Day all throughout the country so downtown will be filled with bands and musical acts here and elsewhere.

The Kickstarter for Parallel Truths is LIVE!!!

I have mentioned that I’m making a book with Andy Weir, right?

Although I’m an author and illustrator, for this graphic novel anthology, I was just writing so I had to make sure whoever was taking up the pencils for the art was going to have a heck of a good time.

So we’ve got a story of survival where even if you don’t make it, you’ll get a second chance while the mayhem is live-streamed around the world for entertainment. All that plus a dog who’s just trying to do a job alongside all this human nonsense.

Nelson Daniel, the artist who brought my story, Daddio and the Escape from Clone Murder Island to life absolutely hit it out of the park. Once you see it, you’ll want to jump into the pages yourself to save Daddio from these zillionaire nepo-baby psychopaths.

Parallel Truths will be a Kickstarter exclusive and it won’t be making to my store shelves so back it today while you can!

Our Game Masters run the same adventure for about a month, so there’s no pressure to be there every week. New players are always welcome, and characters, dice, and everything else you need will be provided — or we’ll roll one up with you at the table.

Plus, you get to choice an author who is part of this year’s festivals, either your favorite or a totally random one, and they’ll get three months of book promotion through the store.

Kenosha HarborMarket – THIS SATURDAY!

Holy moly, what a huge weekend!

Without hardly having a chance to recover from the launch of the new Color of Kenosha, Indie Bookstore Day, and the first Kenosha Book Festival for the year, it’s time to get ready to go outside for Kenosha HarborMarket!

I’ll be back at my usual spot along with two different authors every week. This Saturday, we’ll be joined by Kenosha favorite D. Lieber plus one of the newest authors from the festival, K.M. Cole. Come by and see what they’re writing!

And if you’re working on your Indie Bookstore Passport tour, be sure to stop in Wednesday or Thursday to wrap up your stamp collection.
