The Kickstarter for Parallel Truths is LIVE!!!

I have mentioned that I’m making a book with Andy Weir, right?

Although I’m an author and illustrator, for this graphic novel anthology, I was just writing so I had to make sure whoever was taking up the pencils for the art was going to have a heck of a good time.

So we’ve got a story of survival where even if you don’t make it, you’ll get a second chance while the mayhem is live-streamed around the world for entertainment. All that plus a dog who’s just trying to do a job alongside all this human nonsense.

Nelson Daniel, the artist who brought my story, Daddio and the Escape from Clone Murder Island to life absolutely hit it out of the park. Once you see it, you’ll want to jump into the pages yourself to save Daddio from these zillionaire nepo-baby psychopaths.

Parallel Truths will be a Kickstarter exclusive and it won’t be making to my store shelves so back it today while you can!

Dungeons & Egg Rolls is a weekly D&D one-shot hosted at Mr. Yee’s, right next door to Studio Moonfall. Running on Sundays from 2pm-5:30pm, each session is a self-contained story — no prep, no experience, no commitment. Just show up and play.

Our Game Masters run the same adventure for about a month, so there’s no pressure to be there every week. New players are always welcome, and characters, dice, and everything else you need will be provided — or we’ll roll one up with you at the table.

Daddio is a scruffy mutt with a job to do. Everytime a Clone is killed off for the entertainment of billions, it’s up to Daddio to wake up the next one. No idea why anyone would find this entertaining but it’s a living.

That’s a look at my story for Parallel Truths, a Kickstarter-exclusive multi-genre graphic novel anthology that explores fractured realities, impossible choices, and conflicting versions of truth. The Golden Ticket – The interns have hidden the LibroFM Goldent Ticket somewhere in the shop. If you’re the one to find it, you’ll win a YEAR of free audiobooks through LibroFM, your ear’s favorite alternative to Audible. But just a word of warning, for the last couple years, the Golden Ticket hadn’t gotten snatched up in the first half hour so try to get here right away when the store opens at 11am.

Blind Date Sale – Willing to take a risk for a book you might fall in love with? The Blind Date with a Book Sale will be back all weekend. All of these mysterious books are 20% off!

Kenosha Book Festival Author Preview – Get a sneak peek at the who’s who of this year’s book festival season. Authors will be dropping in at random from 3pm to 7pm. Plus, we’ll have many of their books on display if you can’t wait to start reading.

Support your favorite author – or a random one!

We’re looking for volunteers to help set up and take down the Kenosha Book Festival this summer. And since I don’t know that volunteering is some kind of free(?) thing people do, you’ll get $20 in gift certificates for the shop.

Plus, you get to choice an author who is part of this year’s festivals, either your favorite or a totally random one, and they’ll get three months of book promotion through the store.

A Month for Indie Bookstores

Leading up to Chapter One of the Kenosha Book Festival on Sunday, April 26th, we’ve got all sorts of cool indie bookstore stuff going on. Come on out and get reading!

Stop by the shop and pick up your Indie Bookstore Passport, or click here for a printable version. We’ve got 17 bookshops to visit this month. The more you visit, the more chances you get for prizes. But also, you get a good excuse to visit 17 bookstores this month!

On Saturday, April 25th, we have the official Independent Bookstore Day. Come by Studio Moonfall for all sorts of extra stuff going on like:
