Lacie M. Lou

Author Lacie M. Lou makes her novel debut with Prophecy of Blood and Flames, the first book in a dark fantasy trilogy, The Aurorian Trilogy.

Lacie is a cat mom to a chonky cat named Esme and a goofball kitten named Oreo. In her free time, Lacie enjoys hiking, dancing, playing board games with friends, and video games with her husband, Brandon. On a typical evening you can find her and Esme curled up on “their spot” on the couch writing, eating popcorn, and drinking caffeine past a “reasonable hour.”

Growing up Lacie devoured series such as R.L. Stine’s Goosebumps, James Patterson’s murder mystery novels, and countless fantasy series. Lacie was particularly inspired by two of her favorite series, Mary E. Pearson’s The Remnant Chronicles, and Sarah J. Maas’s Throne of Glass, for their world building, masterful plot weaving, and unforgettable characters.

Prophecy of Blood and Flames also drew inspiration from the author’s own experiences with self doubt, anxiety, and grief over the loss of loved ones, as well as her desire for more diverse representation of identities in the fantasy genre.
