R.E. Bunch – Kenosha Book Festival 2024

RE Bunch is coming to Studio Moonfall’s Kenosha Book Festival 2024 on April 28th and July 28th.

RE Bunch is a writer from Chicago, Illinois. She enjoys all things occult, horror, and science fiction. She pulls from art, true-crime stories, scientific theories, and nature to stretch her creations beyond the limits of horror. She blends poetry and prose writing techniques to develop worlds filled with mystery, dread, and beauty. A style that has been described as eclectic and uniquely her own.

When she is not writing she is playing with dogs and making linoleum prints.

Here’s a sneak peek at their book The By-Blow Promise Land:

Truett Fox has never felt at home with any family—adopted, found, or birth. After his birth father’s unexpected passing, Truett and his adoptive brother Felix go to New Orleans, Louisiana to attend the service. While paying their respects, a storm rolls in that causes them to cut their trip short. As the two try to leave town they are detoured off the main roads, going further into the bayou. As tensions flare on the dark flooded roads, they find a woman, Leticia, stranded in the storm. Leticia promises a good time and safe shelter to wait out the storm in. Is her hospitality an old-fashioned miracle, or are there more sinister forces driving the boys to her?

Upon his release, Lucifer sets off a series of events that draws the attention of a handful of angels as Heaven remains skeptical of any danger. Taylor Schafer – Kenosha Book Festival 2024

Taylor Schafer is coming to Studio Moonfall’s Kenosha Book Festival 2024 on April 28th and July 28th!

Meet the author:
My name is Taylor Schafer! I’ve always been an avid reader. I have written a few books since high school but have taken the leap and published my first book. I love writing all the smutty books I can. I’m a firm believer in sex early in the book.

I live with my two cats; Cowboy and Bandit. And I love all things Christmas!

Here’s a sneak peek at their book Of Stars and Water:

The world is in chaos, after a freak solar storm destroys all technology on Earth. The planet goes into World War III and half the population is eradicated. The remaining population, because of radiation from the bombs and solar storm, ends up changing them. The radiation awakes latent elemental powers, allowing every person to control one element. Except for me.

Zachary Jeffries – Kenosha Book Festival 2024

Zachary Jeffries is coming to Studio Moonfall’s Kenosha Book Festival 2024 on April 28th and June 23rd!

Zachary Jeffries has only been arrested once (so far) and didn’t do anything illegal, just mouthed off a bit. That night, he learned the power of being a smartass, a trait many of his main characters possess (along with other supernatural abilities). He believes in happily ever afters, cliffhangers only after closure, and really dark book twos.

Jeffries is the author of Young Adult Urban Fantasy stories like The Unseen Curse and the series Angels of New York State.

Here’s a sneak peek at their book Angel of Fate:

This Grim Reaper just met his Fate.

High school sophomore MaKayla Colfax was perfectly happy with her life until she inherited a mysterious pair of scissors. They don’t cut, but when holding them, MaKayla begins seeing things like lines between people, connections. With the scissors, she uncovers the ancient power of her lineage of Greek Fates.

If Grim Reaper-in-training Cain Morrigan messes up one more soul harvest, he’ll remain a disgusting human for the rest of his existence. But his new target has supernatural connections tied to Earth. Now Cain’s only hope is to find some force powerful enough to cut these ties.

Can MaKayla embrace her destiny in time to preserve the balance of life and death? Can Cain tolerate a human long enough to make MaKayla into the Fate he needs? And for the love of gods, can the two of them work together for one minute without fighting?

Meet the Author – Scott Burtness

Meet the Author!

Visit us on Friday, March 15, 2024 at Studio Moonfall from 4pm to 7pm to meet Horror/Paranormal Author, Scott Burtness.

Hang out at the shop and take a peek inside their book, An Oracle Walks into a Bar:

Messy breakup? Want your stuff back from your ex? Shapeshifter August Shade can help. Satisfaction not guaranteed.

After saving the world, the cranky repo man heads to farm country for one little job. Now he’s far from his natural habitat and mixed up with two feuding hag sisters, a loan sharking coblyn, and a mysterious woman with a very scary ex. The manure hits the fan when his best friend blows the lid off a major conspiracy and lands August in a heap of trouble.

As his efforts to keep a low profile fall apart, August learns–quite literally–that you reap what you sow. It’s life or death for the repossession specialist, and the scales keep tilting toward the latter. If it weren’t for bad luck, August Shade would have no luck at all.

Get a sneak peek at An Oracle Walks into a Bar at https://bookshop.org/a/9574/9798462369100

And here’s something from the author:

I love horror and paranormal comedy. You want Dawn of the Dead? I want Dawn, Dishsoap of the Dead. You want Children of the Corn? I want Children of the Cornball. That’s why I don’t write about vampires and shapeshifters and aliens. I write about bowling vampires. Shapeshifters that will get your stuff back from your ex after a messy breakup. Aliens that love visiting the State Fair.

Are my books any good? Well, Sam J. Jones once spit on the cover of Wisconsin Vamp at a comic book convention. While it was ostensibly an accident, I remain convinced it was Sam’s way of showing high praise.

I am a born-and-raised Minnesotan that now lives in northeastern Wisconsin. I took to writing fiction as an excuse to hang out in bars by myself and not look weird. If you’re by yourself, you look sad and lonely. If you’re working on a laptop, you look like a highly productive member of society. Anywho…

Wrapped in flannel and raised on 80’s sitcoms, Monty Python, Douglas Adams and B-horror flicks, my books blend wry humor and supernatural thrills into otherwise-mundane Midwestern life.

See you from 4pm to 7pm on Friday, March 15, 2024 at Studio Moonfall, 5031 7th Avenue with Scott Burtness!
