Two Year Bookshopiversary

After opening a brick and mortar bookstore just in time for a pandemics and riots, Studio Moonfall has made it to two years!!

Have you been here yet? It’s pretty cool.

Originally, it was just meant to be a place for me to do my work and sell my books for when I wasn’t off doing comic cons, or as a backup in case all the shows shut down for some unforeseen reason…

But it’s become waaaaaay more than that!

Along with being half taken over by a used bookstore, the shop is full of the work of other artists and independent authors. If you’re looking for a new favorite indie creator, that’s what it’s here to do.

In fact, that’s why I’m cancelling my original, AMAZING plan for Halloween. Trunk’r’Treat Comic Con will have to wait until next year.

On top of working on the next Color of Kenosha book, I’m getting ready for a huge indie author conference in Las Vegas. There’ll be 1700 authors who have written and self-published there books or are just getting started. And I’m working on setting up this tiny, little shop to feature all their work.

So, while I have to hold off on a big two year bookshopiversary celebration, we’ve got something big to look forward to for year three.

Plus, we have plenty of other fun things to do. Check out all the upcoming events we’re having on Sundays at Studio Moonfall:

– Free Book Friday – Every Friday 10am to 7pm – Stop in and get a free used book
– Artist Luke Daab & Author T.R. Nickel
– Author D. Lieber (Book Release!)
– Halloween! I’ve already got a pumpkin full of candy so throw on that costume and come on down!

Head to the Facebook events to stay up to date on event details.

See you at Studio Moonfall!

Reanimated… With Help!

Gotta give credit where credit is due!

AKA: Whoopsy!!

If you have the original version of the Zombie Guide to English Grammar, you’ll know that I had illustrated for another author, Derrick Murphy. When it no longer fit his brand and didn’t have a place on his bookshelf, I took it off his hands to “reanimate” it. With updated illustrations, formatting, and a healthy dose of spit shine, I gave the book a second chance at life.

But there was somebody else involved who I let slip through the cracks!

Meet Suzanne Gochenouer!

She’s the author who originally wrote the “welcome to becoming a zombie story” which all these grammar lessons were applied to. And I totally missed that when republishing the book :O

So, now the book is updated with credit given where it ought to have been in the first place along with a BIG FAT SORRY I SCREWED UP, SUZANNE!!!

Check out her editing work and keep an eye out for her upcoming stories at https://transformationaleditor.com

And check out the Zombie Guide to English Grammar, brought to life by Suzanne, Derrick, and me, at https://www.amazon.com/dp/B089TS15YV

Coloring Page Roundup – January 30th, 2021

Hi. Need some cool stuff to color?

Sure you do.

Party on and print them up for free at https://www.patreon.com/posts/46883030.

And if you like ’em, maybe sign up for monthly books and stickers. Or not. I’ll keep giving printable coloring pages to you for free. Or maybe an alligator will fall out of the sky and land on my drawing hand. Well. I don’t know what we’d do then. Hmm. Maybe you should sign up so I can afford an alligator umbrella. Yeah. I think that would be best. I’m glad we sorted this all out.

Coloring Page Roundup – Dec. 19, 2020

CLICK HERE TO GET THEM ALL!

Here’s this week’s roundup!

With this bunch, we’ve reached 266 free coloring pages since March. Holy moly. I hope your crayon box is getting all its proper refills.

This week, we’re wrapping up the Color of Kenosha: Winter Wonders printables so I’ve got to figure out what’s next.

Next month will be a Patreon-exclusive coloring book (for fans of a galaxy far, far away) so not all of those will be printables. Or maybe they will. Been busy. Haven’t thought much about it.

But we do have the sequel to A Coloring Book of Weird Ideas on its way so I’ve got some coming up for that. Also have the second Coloring Book of Madness in the works. Geez. I suppose there will be plenty to keep us all busy.

If you haven’t yet, check out the Ghoulie Squad tier on Patreon to get monthly stickers and coloring books. That’s what keeps this party going!

Happy coloring,
Donovan
