Gary Vincent is the author of Finding Vincent: My Journey of Adoption, Discovery and Reunion, a memoir about identity, family, and a lifelong search for the truth about his beginnings.
Born in Milwaukee and raised in Kenosha, Wisconsin, Gary developed deep roots in the community and went on to build a career in law enforcement. His personal journey took an unexpected turn when, after decades of unanswered questions about his adoption and birth family, he began searching for the people and history connected to his birth.
His search ultimately led to the discovery of his birth mother, biological family, and the birth name he had never known. Finding Vincent chronicles that journey of discovery and reunion, while reflecting on the experiences, relationships, and choices that shaped the life he built along the way.
Gary lives in Illinois with his wife, Terri, and their dog, Bailey Rose.
