Anita Fiore Welsh

Anita Fiore Welsh is a retired piano teacher, wife, mother and grandmother. Although she was born in Queens, New York, her midwestern roots were formed in and around Wisconsin. Illegally adopted before the age of two, she experienced abandonment and foster care. Through faith and an unfailing spirit, Anita struggled as a single mother, eventually entered college in her forties, started a business and put down roots.

Now a first-time author, Anita’s memoir, “Waiting for the Bad Thing to Happen,” made the Amazon #1 best seller list in the first month after release. She remains active in her community, involved with organizations helping children in need. One half of any proceeds from her book are committed to foster care agencies. At present, Royal Family Kids, an international group supporting foster children and families, will be the recipient.
