On Friday, April 13th, 2018, Kari took a chance and believed in herself. She submitted her first short story to an anthology (Window: Inner Circle Writers Group Children’s Anthology). Since then, she has been published a total of 8 times and won 3rd place in a local writing anthology.
She has always had an interest in the paranormal: ghost hunting tv shows, psychics, tarot cards and the unexplained. As a pre-teen she discovered the paranormal genre in the form of: Wait Till Helen Comes by Mary Downing Hahn & Dollhouse Murders by Betty Ren Wright. Other authors she finds inspiration from include: Edgar Allan Poe, O’Henry, Mercedes Lackey, Agatha Christie, Anne McCaffrey, Marissa Meyer.
Kari lives with her husband, two kids, cat and at least one ghost. Others may visit from time-to-time, however. She is trying her hand at astral projection to somewhere tropical, but has thus far been unsuccessful.
